[ Upstream commit 25355252607ca288f329ee033f387764883393f6 ] A cpumask structure on the stack can cause a warning with CONFIG_NR_CPUS=8192 (e.g. Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 use this): drivers/hv//channel_mgmt.c: In function ‘init_vp_index’: drivers/hv//channel_mgmt.c:702:1: warning: the frame size of 1032 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes [-Wframe-larger-than=] Nowadays it looks most distros enable CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK=y, and hence we can work around the warning by using cpumask_var_t. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
