commit bbc6c0dda54fc0ad8f8aed0b796c23e186e1a188 upstream. snd_seq_oss_write() currently returns the raw load_patch() callback result for SEQ_FULLSIZE events. That callback is documented as returning 0 on success and -errno on failure, but snd_seq_oss_write() is the file write path and should report the number of user bytes consumed on success. Some in-tree backends also return backend-specific positive values, which can still be shorter than the original write size. Return the full byte count for successful SEQ_FULLSIZE writes. Preserve negative errors and convert any nonnegative completion to the original count. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
